Meanwhile, I'm tired of reading articles referring to auditions for "subway idol," as if "American Idol" is the most representative and ideal collection of talent.

I agree. Every now and then I chance across 'American Idol' and every time after a few minutes I am totally bored and flip away. We have much better talent in the subway ...
I am looking forward to seeing the new MUNY recruits in the subway, though.
